About InSight

InSight is an intelligent, cloud-based portal that consolidates trailer inventory, reduces cargo theft, and tracks fleet performance using real-time data and smart sensors.

How InSight Works

The InSight portal is flexible and customizable, serving a wide range of fleet customers. Private fleets with their own distribution networks rely on InSight to control inventory, asset availability, and visibility across all locations.

SkyBitz consolidates everything into one unified, web-based portal giving you real-time location data and remote monitoring. You can immediately see where every asset is across yards, stores, and loading docks to improve utilization, reduce idle time, increase turns, cut empty miles, and lower capital spend.

SkyCamera & Smart Sensors

SkyCamera sensors go beyond traditional binary detection, providing dispatchers with images of cargo (nearly full, partial, empty, etc.), eliminating false positives and negatives.

Impact:

  • Drivers stop going to the wrong trailers
  • Planners work faster because they know exactly which assets are actually available
  • Automated, Accurate Arrival & Load Data becomes a major cash flow driver

Key Benefits

As a commitment to continuously advancing technology, InSight not only upgrades infrastructure but also enhances functionality and experience. The portal is centralized under one unified device management system, with specific tabs useful for different personas involved in day-to-day fleet operations.

Operations Dashboard

The Operations Dashboard provides a real-time view of fleet activity through interactive widgets, a live map, and a filterable asset table. It is your command center for day-to-day fleet visibility.

Dashboard Overview

The dashboard features three key widget areas: Yard Check, Idle Assets, and Moving Assets. Each widget provides aggregated data for authorized landmarks (aka yards) with filter and drill-down capabilities.

The map view shows asset locations in real-time, and the asset grid displays all assets with various filters applied. Assets can be sorted by status, cargo type, idle time range, and more.

By default, the grid is sorted by the most recently reported assets and columns can be navigated via the top navigation bar.

Yard Check

The Yard Check widget gives you instant visibility into empty assets sitting in your yards, helping you optimize asset utilization and reduce idle inventory.

Yard Check widget showing empty assets and yard breakdown

What Yard Check Shows

The Yard Check widget displays the total number of empty assets and which yards they are located in. It also provides the empty percentage for each yard, helping you quickly identify locations with the most underutilized assets.

  • Empty Assets count reported by cargo and volumetric sensors
  • Top Most Empty Assets in Yards ranked by empty percentage
  • Yard-by-yard breakdown with asset count and empty count

Click on any yard row to filter the map and asset table to show only assets at that location.

Idle Assets

Monitor assets that haven't moved within a defined time period. Identify underutilized trailers to improve fleet turnover and reduce capital waste.

Idle Assets Widget

The Idle Assets widget breaks down your idle fleet into three categories: Idle Empty, Idle Loaded, and Idle with Other Cargo Statuses. The donut chart gives you a quick visual summary of total idle assets.

Use the filter icon to set custom idle time thresholds and narrow the view to the assets that matter most to your operations. Click into any category to see the full asset list filtered by that status.

Idle Assets List View

Clicking into the Idle Assets widget reveals the full list of idle assets with detailed information including Last Location, Asset ID, Device Serial Number, Idle Time, Duration, Arrived timestamp, Last Reported time, Asset Type, and Status.

The list can be filtered and sorted to help you prioritize which idle assets need attention first, whether that's repositioning, maintenance, or reassignment.

Moving Assets

Track assets currently in transit to understand fleet activity, cargo loads, and movement patterns in real time.

Moving Assets Widget

The Moving Assets widget categorizes in-transit assets by Moving Empty, Moving Loaded, and Moving with Other Cargo Statuses. The donut chart provides a quick view of how many assets are currently on the road.

This widget helps dispatchers and operations managers understand fleet utilization in real time and identify opportunities to improve load efficiency.

Moving Assets List View

Drill into the Moving Assets widget to see the complete list of in-transit assets. The table includes Last Location, Asset ID, Device Serial Number, Start Time, Duration, destination details, Last Reported time, Asset Type, and Status.

Use this view to verify delivery routes, monitor transit times, and ensure your fleet is operating efficiently across all active shipments.

Asset List Quick Tools

The asset list supports multiple view configurations, breadcrumb navigation, and filter persistence. You can apply filters by various criteria such as cargo status, location, idle time range, and more. The grid displays assets sorted by the most recently reported by default, and all columns can be customized to match your workflow.

Asset Overview

The Asset Overview is your 360-degree view of any individual asset, showing location, sensor status, cargo imagery, and device details all in one place.

Asset Overview Tab

The Asset Overview tab shows the complete picture of a single asset: its current location on a map, sensor status (power source, door, motion, tire system), cargo classification, and SkyCamera imagery when available.

  • Location with map pin and GPS coordinates
  • Sensors Status including power, door, motion, and tire pressure
  • Cargo – SkyCamera with timestamped images
  • Cargo – Acoustic sensor data for volumetric readings

Devices

View all devices attached to an asset including base devices, cargo sensors, door sensors, motion sensors, tamper sensors, and volumetric sensors.

Devices Tab

The Devices tab within an asset's profile shows every device associated with that asset. For each device, you can see the Device Model, Serial Number, Device Model name, Installed date, Last Reported timestamp, and Last Status.

This view is essential for keeping track of device health and identifying issues quickly. If a sensor stops reporting or shows an unexpected status, the Devices tab is the first place to investigate.
